Join us this week as we kick off our Forever Young series about the Winchester boys’ childhood, beginning with the pilot episode. It’s about time we discussed this one, am I right?
Listen to us trip over our words, fumble with technology, and just generally fuck it all up. Oh, and extra audio from the tornado warning in our last episode!
Angel With a Shotgun by The Cab
Lyrics:
(I’m an angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun
An angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun)
Get out your guns, battles begun
Are you a saint, or a sinner?
If loves a fight, than I shall die
With my heart on a trigger
They say before you start a war
You better know what you’re fighting for
Well baby, you are all that I adore
If love is what you need, a soldier I will be
I’m an angel with a shotgun
Fighting til’ the wars won
I don’t care if heaven won’t take me back
I’ll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe
Don’t you know you’re everything I have?
And I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight
Sometimes to win, you’ve got to sin
Don’t mean I’m not a believer
And major Tom, will sing along
Yeah, they still say I’m a dreamer
They say before you start a war
You better know what you’re fighting for
Well baby, you are all that I adore
If love is what you need, a soldier I will be
I’m an angel with a shotgun
Fighting til’ the wars won
I don’t care if heaven won’t take me back
I’ll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe
Don’t you know you’re everything I have?
And I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight
Oh, oh whoa whoa oh whoa
I’m an angel with a shotgun
Fighting til’ the wars won
I don’t care if heaven won’t take me back
I’m an angel with a shotgun
Fighting til’ the wars won
I don’t care if heaven won’t take me back
I’ll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe
Don’t you know you’re everything I have?
(I’m an angel with a shotgun)
And I, want to live, not just survive, tonight
(Live, not just survive)
And I’m gonna hide, hide, hide my wings tonight
They say before you start a war
You better know what you’re fighting for
Well baby, you are all that I adore
If love is what you need, a soldier I will be

Angel At My Door by NEEDTOBREATHE
Lyrics:
What do I got to do to my love to make you understand me
Where do I find the piece of your heart to keep you satisfied
What do I got to do to my love to make you even notice
Where do I find the words in my mouth to cut through the air tonight
‘Cause every day I know that I am learning
And age, it ain’t the only thing in life
But if memory’s all you have then I can’t find you
Beneath those eyes
So we open up the door
Let the music take us further than before
We’ve opened up the door
‘Cause maybe there’s an angel standing on the porch
How do I face the man that I am when my heart’s still in hiding
Staring me down, the days of my life that I’ve gotta justify
Maybe I need the cracks in my skin, emotions are hard to carry
Maybe I need the strength in your eyes to cut through the morning time
‘Cause every day I know that I am learning
And age, it ain’t the only thing in life
But if memory’s all you have then I can’t find you
Beneath those eyes, yeah
So we open up the door
Let the music take us further than before
We’ve opened up the door
‘Cause maybe there’s an angel standing on the porch
Oh, maybe there’s an angel
Oh, maybe there’s an angel at my door
Oh, maybe there’s an angel at my door
Standing up high, taking this light,
Oh, I’m gonna see the shining
Yeah, maybe there’s an angel at my door
Oh, maybe there’s an angel at my door
We open up the door
Let the music take us further than before
Gotta open up the door
‘Cause maybe there’s an angel standing on the porch
Oh, we gotta fall like we’re behind
Yeah, we gotta fall before we find
Oh, we gotta live like we were poor
Oh, we gotta show what hope is for
We open up the door
Let the music take us further than before
Oh, gotta open up the door
Maybe there’s an angel standing on the porch

Summary:
Dean didn’t usually come to this kind of place, but Sam had given him the puppy dog eyes and argued and pleaded and even bribed him with pie. He was seeing some new girl who apparently very into the alternative burlesque scene and she had invited them to come see a show on her night off.
AKA: The one where Dean sees his first burlesque show, learns that male burlesque performers are a thing, and tries a lot of new (sexual) things.

Worst Case Scenario by MittenWraith

Summary:
Their lives have always masqueraded as works of fiction, but for anyone they’ve ever interacted with, there’s a scarily high chance that someday they’ll discover the strangest events of their lives have been immortalized in a moderately obscure series of pulp horror novels. For Sam, Dean, and Cas, this is old news. For the people who’ve learned the truth, it’s often a life-changing experience. Here’s the story of a handful of those lucky… yeah, let’s call them lucky… people whose lives intersected once upon a time with the Winchesters.
And the stories they get to tell the Winchesters.

Lyrics:
My feet are aching
And your back is pretty tired
And we’ve drunk a couple bottles, babe
And set our grief aside
The Papers say it’s doomsday
The button has been pressed
We’re gonna nuke each other up boys
‘Til old satan stands impressed
And here it is, our final night alive
And as the earth runs to the ground
Oh girl it’s you that I lie with
As the atom bomb locks in
Oh it’s you I watch TV with
As the world, as the world caves in
You put your final suit on
I paint my fingernails
Oh we’re going out in style babe
And everything’s on sale
We creep up on extinction
I pull your arms right in
I weep and say goodnight love
While my organs pack it in
And here it is, our final night alive
And as the earth runs to the ground
Oh girl it’s you that I lie with
As the atom bomb locks in
Oh it’s you I watch TV with
As the world, as the world caves
Oh it’s you that I lie with
As the atom bomb locks in
Yes it’s you I welcome death with
As the world, as the world caves in
As the world caves in
